How we deliver your booking confirmations and communicate with you

At Sharing Houseboat, we provide digital booking services for houseboat experiences. This policy outlines how we deliver booking confirmations, vouchers, and other important documents to our customers.

Since we offer service-based bookings rather than physical products, our "delivery" refers to the digital transmission of booking documents and the provision of our houseboat services.

Digital Document Delivery

Booking Confirmation

Upon successful completion of your booking and payment:

  • You will receive an instant booking confirmation via email
  • Confirmation includes your booking reference number, booking details, and payment receipt
  • Confirmations are typically sent within 5 minutes of booking completion
  • SMS confirmation is also sent to the registered mobile number

E-Voucher & Tickets

Your e-voucher will be delivered as follows:

  • Sent to your registered email within 24 hours of booking
  • Available for download from your account dashboard
  • Can be printed or shown on your mobile device during check-in
  • Contains QR code for quick verification
  • Includes detailed itinerary and contact information
Important: Please check your spam/junk folder if you don't receive the confirmation email within 15 minutes. Add our email address to your contacts to ensure future communications reach your inbox.

Service Delivery

Our houseboat services are delivered according to the following schedule:

Check-in Process

  • Standard Check-in: 12:00 PM on your booking date
  • Early Check-in: Available on request (subject to availability)
  • Location details and directions will be provided in your confirmation email
  • Our staff will assist you during the check-in process
  • Present your e-voucher and valid ID for verification

Check-out Process

  • Standard Check-out: 9:00 AM on your departure date
  • Late Check-out: May incur additional charges
  • Please ensure all belongings are collected before departure
  • Feedback forms will be provided for your experience review

We use multiple channels to keep you informed:

Email Communications

  • Booking confirmations and e-vouchers
  • Pre-arrival reminders (sent 3 days before check-in)
  • Important updates or changes to your booking
  • Post-stay feedback requests
  • Promotional offers (only if subscribed)

  • Instant booking confirmation
  • Payment confirmations
  • Reminder messages 24 hours before check-in

Pre-Arrival Information

To ensure a smooth experience, we provide the following information before your arrival:

  • 48 hours before: Final confirmation call from our team
  • 24 hours before: Weather forecast and any necessary preparations
  • On arrival day: Contact details of your houseboat captain and crew
  • Directions and navigation assistance to the boarding point
  • What to bring and what to expect during your stay
Travel Tip: We recommend arriving at least 30 minutes before your scheduled check-in time to complete formalities and receive a proper welcome briefing.

Booking Modifications & Updates

If there are any changes to your booking:

  • Modification confirmations are sent within 2 hours of approval
  • Updated e-vouchers are automatically generated
  • Previous vouchers will be invalidated
  • You'll receive both email and SMS notifications
  • All changes are logged in your account history

Failed or Delayed Communications

If you don't receive your booking documents:

  • Check your spam/junk email folder
  • Verify that your email address and phone number are correct
  • Contact our support team immediately
  • We can resend documents via alternate email or WhatsApp
  • Vouchers can be accessed anytime from your account dashboard

Special Requests & Arrangements

For special occasions or requirements:

  • Submit requests at least 7 days before check-in
  • Confirmation of special arrangements sent within 48 hours
  • Additional charges (if any) will be communicated upfront
  • Includes: celebrations, dietary requirements, accessibility needs
  • Our team will coordinate to ensure your requirements are met

Privacy & Data Security

Your communication and booking information is protected:

  • All emails are sent through secure, encrypted channels
  • Your contact information is never shared with third parties
  • Communications are stored securely on our servers
  • You can opt out of promotional emails at any time
  • Transactional emails cannot be opted out (booking confirmations, etc.)
